ManageFlitter Supporting Charities

One of our core values at 89n is maintaining an awareness for the world around us.  We believe in conscious capitialism.

The team at 89n all have a passion for trying to make the world a better place and whilst we are a commercial for profit business we always try to remain open to contributing to good causes.

Up until now we have offered ManageFlitter Pro users the option of their second month free if they sign up and send out a tweet about us.

ManageFlitter Free Month

This has been a popular choice and helps our users save on a month’s subscription and helps us get the word out about ManageFlitter.

We have decided to change this slightly, so that not only our users and ManageFlitter benefit, but charities benefit as well.

So now users will have the choice of donating their second month’s subscription fee to one of the charities listed below.

Donate Second Month to Charity - ManageFlitter

We will donate 100% of their subscription fee for the second month if users choose this option.  We will distribute these monies on a monthly basis to these charities and report it on our blog.

Charities we have chosen to support at the moment include:

  • Two Sisters http://www.twosisters.org.za/
Two Sisters is a small charity in South Africa started by an ex anti-apartheid activist.  There was a great movie about the founder’s life during apartheid worth watching.  This charity helps AIDS orphans.
  • Khan Academy http://www.khanacademy.org/
The Khan Academy aims to provide a “… free world-class education to anyone anywhere.”  How can you argue with that?

  • Moholoholo http://www.moholoholo.co.za/
Moholoholo provides “… a haven for the rehabilitation and care of abandoned, injured and poisoned wildlife.”

  • Cancer Research http://www.cancer.org/
    Speaks for itself.

  • Off The Mat Into The World http://offthematintotheworld.org/
Off The Mat Into The World uses the “… power of yoga to inspire conscious, sustainable activism and ignite grassroots social change. We do this by facilitating personal empowerment through leadership trainings, fostering community collaboration, and initiating local and global service projects.”

  • Charity Water http://www.charitywater.org/
“charity: water is a non-profit organization bringing clean and safe drinking water to people in developing nations. 100% of public donations directly fund water projects. “

We like charities that have big impact with small overhead.  We also have a soft spot for charities that help animals and children (who doesn’t?).

If you would like to suggest a charity to us feel free to email us.  This current mix of charities may be added to or changed.
